US architecture billings slip in August, upward trend intact
The US construction industry should continue to improve in the months ahead, despite a slip in the Architecture Billings Index (ABI) in August, Kallanish learns from an American Institute of Architects (AIA) update.
The ABI, which represents the relationship between architectural billings and actual construction activity 9-12 months in the future, moved from 54.7 in July to 49.1 in August. ABI readings over 50 indicate an increase in billings.
