US architectural index falters, yet remains positive
The American Institute of Architects’ billings index slipped in July but remains in pro-growth territory, Kallanish learns from an institute release.
The increase fell from 54.2 in June to 51.9 in July. Readings above 50 generally indicate growth in architectural activity. The index itself measures the 9-12 month lag between architectural billings and actual construction spending.
