ArcelorMittal South Africa prepares blast furnace staves revamp

ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) is revamping the cast iron staves at its Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal Works’ blast furnace, according to a statement seen by Kallanish. The equipment supplier, Primetals Technologies, will provide engineering and supply of five full rows of cast iron staves including refractory inserts, fixtures and fittings.
