ArcelorMittal ups emissions reduction target by 2030
ArcelorMittal is targeting a 2030 global carbon emissions intensity reduction target of 25%, and has increased its European carbon emissions intensity reduction target to 35% from the previous 30%.
Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technology will also gradually build up in the US and Canada, with Europe investing significantly to become a CCUS leader, ArcelorMittal says in its new climate action report monitored by Kallanish.
