ArcelorMittal Spain re-starts Gijón`s sintering plant
ArcelorMittal tells Kallanish that the iron ore sintering plant at its Gijón mill in Spain resumed operations on 7 January. 'Sinter A' was halted in April 2020 due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the steel sector.
The restart of the plant follows the recovery in steel demand and it was successfully executed despite limitations due to the modification of the integrated environmental authorization, ArcelorMittal explains.
