ArcelorMittal Spain cuts production further on transport strike
The transport strike and costlier electricity are seriously impacting the Spanish steel industry.
Most large domestic logistics companies stopped their services on 14 March due to higher oil and gas prices (see Kallanish passim). Feedstock supply disruption pushed large steelmakers to apply a series of temporary layoff schemes, while conversations between government and representatives of carriers are ongoing.
