ArcelorMittal secures loan to refinance Essar acquisition debt
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India parent company AMNS Luxembourg has concluded a $5.146 billion ten-year term loan agreement with various Japanese banks. This will be used to refinance in full the amounts borrowed by AMNS to fund the acquisition of the former Essar Steel.
The banks involved are Japan Bank for International Cooperation and MUFG Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Mizuho Bank Europe, and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (London branch).
