ArcelorMittal resumes Gijón operations after workers’ strike
ArcelorMittal has lifted the lockout at its steelworks in the northern Spanish city of Gijón as from 8 December, the steelmaker tells Kallanish. The action, resulting from a workers’ strike, lasted three days and saw production suspended.
“The continuation of production at Gijón is once again possible as unions have called off the two-hour-per-shift strike,” ArcelorMittal explains.
