ArcelorMittal restarts Barra Mansa production
ArcelorMittal Brazil confirms it has resumed steelmaking activities at its Aços Longos Sul Fluminense unit in Barra Mansa. The meltshop has been idle since January 2019.
According to the steelmaker, the restart of the unit comes amid increasing domestic demand for long products and improving prospects for economic growth in Brazil.
