ArcelorMittal foresees significantly improved Brazil demand
ArcelorMittal improved its performance in Brazil in the second quarter, Kallanish notes. The steelmaker returned to pre-Covid-19 production levels during the trimester, to meet growing domestic demand.
“Brazil saw its economic activity continue to recover,” the company comments. “All steel using sectors experienced quarter-on-quarter growth in Q2, which led to an increase in both our flat and long steel production.”
