ArcelorMittal maintains minimal production in Spain
ArcelorMittal Spain tells Kallanish it has halted production at its main plants in the Asturias region, Basque Country and Valencia while maintaining minimal activity at its tinplate line. This was possible after the Spanish Government temporarily implemented new measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the country on 30 March including steelmaking as an essential economic activity (see related article).
