ArcelorMittal Italia unions refuse to shut down equipment
ArcelorMittal Italia is scheduled to leave Italian former steelmaker Ilva by 4 December, the company has told both the Italian authorities and the company’s trade unions in a letter.
Meanwhile the former Ilva commissioners have filed an urgency complaint at the Milan tribunal to prevent the company from departing. The government is accusing ArcelorMittal of breaching the contract and of illegal withdrawal from the business.
