ArcelorMittal Galati commissions new plate leveller
Italy’s Danieli tells Kallanish that ArcelorMittal Galati in Romania has commissioned and finalised the ramp-up of the new hot leveller serving heavy plate mill no. 2 supplied by the steel plant and equipment supplier.
This will allow the facility to achieve better productivity, improved product quality, and increased operational safety, Danieli says. The new equipment has 80% more levelling power and advanced automation, the company says.
