ArcelorMittal files commitments on Ilva, EC postpones deadline
ArcelorMittal filed to the relevant European authorities last week new commitments related to the approval of its acquisition of Italian integrated steelmaker Ilva, Kallanish learns from the European Commission website.
The authorities did not give details of the new commitments, but it is understood these were suggestions of remedies to concerns over competition in the European steel market following the proposed merger.
