ArcelorMittal Europe production returns to pre-Covid-19 levels
Crude steel production at ArcelorMittal’s European mills returned to pre-coronavirus levels in the fourth quarter of 2020. Output surpassed 9.1 million tonnes of crude steel in Q4, up almost 100,000 tonnes on Q4 2019 and 1.2mt compared to Q3 2020.
The recovery in production was mainly supported by the restart of blast furnaces at the group’s sites on the continent.
