ArcelorMittal Brazil’s production improves in second quarter
ArcelorMittal’s production in Brazil rose quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter, Kallanish notes.
The steelmaker’s crude steel output in Brazil was 3.08 million tonnes in Q2, up by 1.5% over the previous quarter but 2.1% lower compared to 3.15mt a year earlier. First-half production reached 6.12mt, or 59,000t less on-year.
