ArcelorMittal Brazil’s production increases in 2023
ArcelorMittal’s production in Brazil fell quarter-on-quarter in the fourth trimester of 2023, Kallanish notes. Output, however, was higher year-on-year, mainly due to the consolidation of ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) as of 9 March last year, the company explains.
The company expects a gradual recovery in apparent steel consumption in Brazil in 2024. ASC is expected to grow 0.5-2.5% on-year, ArcelorMittal estimates.
