ArcelorMittal Brazil’s Barra Mansa production restart advances
ArcelorMittal Brazil confirms it will resume steelmaking activities at its Aços Longos Sul Fluminense unit in Barra Mansa in the second half of the year. The meltshop has been idle since January 2019.
According to the steelmaker, the restart of the unit comes amid increasing domestic demand for long products and improving prospects for economic growth in Brazil.
