ArcelorMittal Brazil steel production falls in 2019
ArcelorMittal saw the performance of its Brazilian unit deteriorate year-on-year in 2019, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest earnings report. Steel production fell compared to 2018, as did several major financial indicators.
The Brazilian unit in this context includes flat steel, long steel and tubular operations in Brazil together with the company’s other facilities in Argentina, Costa Rica and Venezuela.
