Arabian Pipes wins large Aramco contract
Arabian Pipes Company (APC) has won a SAR 261 million ($69.6m) contract to supply longitudinal submerged arc welded (LSAW) pipe to Saudi Aramco, Kallanish learns from the Saudi pipemaker. Product will be produced at the firm’s Jubail mill and delivered from the fourth quarter until Q2 2019.
Increased capacity utilisation at its Jubail and Riyadh plants helped APC hike revenue 53% on-year in 2017 to SAR 560m, with total comprehensive income rising 23% to SAR 5.3m (see Kallanish passim).
APC’s Jubail mill produces up to 300,000 tonnes/year of 16-48 inch LSAW pipe, while its Riyadh plant produces up to 160,000 t/y of high-frequency welded pipe.
