Aperam receives European Investment Bank funding
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is financing French stainless steel producer Aperam to the tune of €50 million ($55.4m), Kallanish learns from the company. The objective is to support a research and development programme over the period 2016-2019. The allocated funds will also be used to upgrade two plants located in Isbergues in the French region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, and at Châtelet-Hainaut in Belgium.
