Aoyu Steel shuts down amid compensation dispute

Aoyu Steel in northern China’s Hebei province has shut down completely following a strike on its premises, according to a notice from 80% owner Delong Holdings. The strike was over compensation to dismissed workers as Delong had already planned to shut the plant and agreed to sell its capacity quota, Kallanish notes.
