Anyang further restricts steel production due to pollution
Anyang city in China’s Henan province has upgraded its air pollution warning from orange to the highest red level, effective 16 January. It will last until midday on 18 January, according to the city's air pollution control enforcement office. Apart from some listed steel and coke companies which are still allowed to produce, all other local industrial companies have been ordered to halt operations, Kallanish notes.
