Anyang commissions new cold-rolled galvanizing line
Central China’s Anyang Iron and Steel commissioned a new cold-rolled continuous galvanizing line on 28 December, according to the construction organiser Shanghai Baoye Group. The project is a further step in its expansion downstream, as the 9 million tonnes/year steelmaker attempts to add value to its hot rolled coil capacity. It commissioned its first 1.5m t/y of cold rolling capacity in March 2014, Kallanish observes.
