Anyang closes No.1 converter
Anyang Iron & Steel in Henan province has closed down its No.1, 35-tonne converter which has a designed crude steel capacity of 600,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
According to Anyang Steel, this converter is located in its second steel plant. The second plant also includes two more converters, No.2 and No.3, that have 2.5m t/y of crude steel capacity in total.
