Anglo American lifts Brazilian operation's ore production outlook
UK-headquartered miner Anglo American has revised upwards its 2019 production target for Brazil. This happens after the miner obtained the Step 3 operating licence for the group’s mine in the Minas-Rio System on 21 December 2018, Kallanish learns from the company’s quarterly production report.
The miner foresees iron ore output reaching 18-20 million tonnes (wet basis) at its mine in Minas Gerais this year, after previously estimating 16-19mt.
