Delays modify Anglo American's Brazilian ore output target
Anglo American has lowered slightly its outlook for iron ore production at the Minas-Rio mine in Brazil for 2017 and 2018 following delays in receiving approval for the new licences phase of the mine.
The London-headquartered miner expects to produce 16-18 million tonnes of iron ore from the mine in 2017. Output stood at 16.1mt in 2016, up significantly from the 9.2mt mined in 2015, Kallanish notes.
