Anglo American to refocus away from iron, coal
Anglo-American announces that it is planning a step backwards from its industrial supply base and will focus on more directly consumer-driven industries based on its diamond, platinum and copper mining operations. It says therefore that it will eventually offload its iron ore and metallurgical coal mining businesses, amongst others, at some point in the future.
