Anglo American Brazil extends use of renewable energy
UK-headquartered Anglo American says it has signed a long-term contract with Brazilian company Casa dos Ventos for the supply of renewable energy to its Brazilian operations, Kallanish learns from the miner.
The project includes the building of eight wind farms, three of which will be used to produce energy for the mining company, Anglo American says. Construction works will start in the second half of 2021. The investment is BRL 2.4 billion ($439.2 million).
