Angang to upgrade blast furnace in March
Chinese steelmaker Angang is preparing to start upgrade work on its No.2 blast furnace, as well as other facilities at the site, Kallanish notes.
The refurbishment work is planned to start in the beginning of March. The 3,200-cubic-metre No.2 blast furnace will be relined and its electrics upgraded. The steelmaker also expects to improve the furnace utilisation rate. The refurbishment will take 70 days, the company says, with a daily …
