AMP boosts ArcelorMittal Brazil’s first-quarter performance
ArcelorMittal saw its performance in Brazil improve quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter thanks to the consolidation of ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) on 9 March, it says.
The steelmaker’s crude steel output in Brazil was 3.05 million tonnes in Q1, up 9.7% over the previous quarter and 0.4% more compared to 3.04mt a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
