AMNS India production, deliveries fall amid duty imposition
AMNS India’s crude steel production plunged 12% on-year to 1.62 million tonnes in the December quarter, against 1.84mt produced a year earlier. This was also down 2.35% on-quarter against 1.66mt produced in the September quarter.
According to the company, production was down due to lower exports following the imposition of duties on steel exports from India in May 2022, Kallanish notes.
Production also dropped 9.58% on-year in full-year 2022 to 6.68mt again…
