AMNS India steel output rises, advances capacity expansion
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India’s crude steel production grew 7% on-year to 1.89 million tonnes in the September quarter, against 1.77mt a year earlier. Production rose 3% on-quarter, Kallanish notes.
Deliveries dropped marginally by 1% on-year to 1.76mt. They grew, however, 3% on-quarter against 1.72mt in the June quarter. Ebitda surged 213% on-year to $551 million during the period.
