AMNS India receives iron ore block environmental clearance
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India has been granted environmental clearance by authorities to develop the Ghoraburhani-Sagasahi iron ore block.
The steelmaker plans to mine 7.16 million tonnes/year of iron ore at the site, which will be fed to a new 6.7m t/y captive beneficiation plant. Until the plant is constructed, AMNS India will be permitted to transport iron ore from the mine to its Dabuna beneficiation plant by road for up to three years. Thereafter, …
