AMNS India eyes expanding defence-grade steel capacity
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AMNS India) aims to double its defence-grade steelmaking capacity from the existing 50,000 tonnes/year to 100,000 t/y at its Hazira unit, Kallanish notes.
At the dedicated unit for defence, the company manufactures steel that is used for building naval warships, submarines and launchpads for missiles.
