AMNS India posts stable output, eyes capacity expansion
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India’s crude steel production remained stable on-quarter in the second quarter at 1.8 million tonnes. The company is eyeing to expand steelmaking capacity to 30m t/year in India.
AMNS India has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government of Odisha to set up a 12m t/y greenfield integrated steel plant, Kallanish notes.
