Aluminium takes another small bite of Chinese automotive
General Motors says it is using mostly aluminium in its 2016 Cadillac CT6, manufactured in China and the USA, marking another model switching away from steel. Aluminium’s share of China’s automotive metals demand is expect to grow in the coming years, but steel remains by far the dominant metal, Kallanish notes.
