Allegheny Technologies nears decision on Midland closing
US specialty metals producer Allegheny Technologies Inc maintains that it will have to close its Midland, Pennsylvania, stainless facility if it does not get relief from the Trump administration’s Section 232 tariffs, Kallanish reports.
The Midland facility is a joint venture between Allegheny and Chinese stainless producer Tsingshan Group, and it relies on imported slabs from Indonesia.
