Algeria’s AQS to boost exports with Posco partnership
Algerian integrated steelmaker AQS, a joint venture between local authorities and Qatar Steel, has signed an agreement with Posco International to further boost its exports.
Following the agreement, the company plans to export some 150,000 tonnes of rebar, wire rod and billet in 2021. The main destinations could be Europe and other African and Arab countries, with which Algeria has free trade agreements.
