Algeria increases steel production in 2018: minister
Algeria produced around 4 million tonnes of steel products in 2018, according to the local minister for industry, Youcef Yousfi.
The country does not report its production figures to worldsteel, but the minister noted that the production level last year significantly surpassed the volume of 3.5mt produced in 2017 and 2.5mt in 2016.
