Alacero seeks Latin America scrap export restrictions
Increasing demand for raw materials will further distort Latin American markets, which depend on scrap as the main input for steel production, says regional steel producers' association Alacero.
The region should take measures to prevent growing scrap exports as new infrastructure and construction projects are important to the post-coronavirus crisis recovery of Latin America, the association comments.
