Al Yamamah reports widening sales price-related loss
Saudi Arabia's Al Yamamah Steel (AYS) posted a 13.6% on-year increase in fiscal-year revenue through 30 September 2023 to SAR 1.55 billion ($415.87 million). However, net loss widened to SAR 130.14m from SAR 26.66m registered in the same period the previous year, Kallanish notes.
The widening loss is due to a 24% on-year fall in average selling prices in the construction sector. This resulted in a 7.34% fall in revenue despite a 27.3% increase in sales volumes…
