Al Yamamah earnings shrink on global headwinds
Saudi Arabia’s Al Yamamah Steel reported a 9.5% on-year decline in revenue in the fiscal year through September 2022 to SAR 1.46 billion ($390.6 million), Kallanish notes.
The company registered a net loss of SAR 26.6m versus a net profit of SAR 207.8m a year earlier, according to a bourse filing. This was due to an on-year increase of raw materials cost for the construction sector by 55.8% and electricity sector by 14.7%, the company explains.
