AK Steel expects net loss in third quarter
AK Steel expects to report a net loss in the third quarter, Kallanish learns from a company guidance statement.
AK predicts its loss will be between $0.02-0.07/diluted share, up from its loss of $0.36/share, or $64 million, in Q2.
AK further says that its average selling price will likely be down -2% quarter on quarter to $910/short ton, a symptom of “… high levels of unfairly traded foreign steel imports.”
