July steel imports into US decrease: AISI
July steel imports into the US decreased from June, according to preliminary census bureau data, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
US steel imports for July totaled 2.37 million net tons, a 15% decrease from June’s final import data on total steel goods. Of the July total, 1.83m nt were finished steel products. This figure represents an 8.1% decline from June’s final import data.
