October steel shipments rise in US: AISI
US steel mills increased shipments by 1.9% in October compared with October 2022, and shipments were higher by 1.3% sequentially from September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
US mills shipped 7.34 million tonnes in October, up from 7.21m t in the same month of 2022. The mills shipped 7.25m t in September 2023.
