AIA index rises for fourth consecutive month
The American Institute of Architects’ billings index has risen for the fourth consecutive month, signalling long-term growth in the US construction industry, Kallanish reports.
The index, which reflects the 9-12-month lag between billings and actual construction, rose to 53 in May from 50.9 in April. Scores above 50 indicate growth.
