AIA index makes slight downturn in January
The American Institute of Architects’ billings index slipped in January, though the institute does not see this as evidence of a lasting trend, Kallanish reports.
The index, which measures the 9-12 month lead-time between architectural billings and spending, fell to 49.5 in January from 55.6 in December. Readings above 50 generally indicate growth.
