Ahmsa 2015 crude steel output flattens on-year
Steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico produced 4.46 million tonnes of crude steel in 2015, or 0.8% more than its 2014 output, Kallanish learns from the company. The figures include 400,000t produced using its recently installed electric arc furnace.
The company produced 4.2mt of slab and exported 3.8mt of steel products. The export volume is slightly lower than that seen in 2014, when the firm shipped nearly 4mt of steel products, local reports reveal.
