Ahmsa starts up new plate normalising line
Mexico’s Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) has produced its first commercial plate processed by the normalising line installed by Primetals Technologies, the equipment supplier tell Kallanish.
The line, installed in the Monclova operation, North East Mexico, was originally designed to reach an output of 200,000 tonnes/year. In 2014 the Mexican steelmaker requested a capacity increase to 300,000 t/y. According to the Primetals, “… most components …
